Special Programs surely are flexible as they compete for the Champion spot in the Division 1 Chess Tournament at the GSCNHS DOST Dry Laboratory, last Monday, January 30.

SPA Black Panthers were victorious against the SPJ Avant Garde and STE Dragons, by winning two out of two games in the GIRLS Category of the said event.

First game: SPJ Avant Garde (Winner) VS STE Dragons, 2.5–0.5

Second game: SPA Black Panthers (Winner) vs. STE Dragons, 2-1

Third game: SPJ Avant Garde vs. SPA Black Panthers (Winner), 1-2

Moreover, SPA Black Panthers ended up being announced as the Champion for having the total score of 4, SPJ Avant Garde as the 1st runner-up having a total score of 3.5, and the STE Dragons as the 2nd runner-up having a total score of 1.5.

While for the BOYS Category, the STE Dragons claimed the Champion spot by winning 2 out of 2 games in the said event against the SPA Black Panthers and SPJ Avant Garde.

First game: SPJ Avant Garde vs. STE Dragons (Winner), 0–3

Second game: SPA Black Panthers vs. STE Dragons (Winner), 1–2

Third game: SPJ Avant Garde vs. SPA Black Panthers (Winner), 1–2

Resulting to STE Dragons being the Champion for having a total score of 5, SPA Black Panthers as the 1st runner-up having a total score of 3, and SPJ Avant Garde as the 2nd runner-up having a total score of 1.
